Our science curriculum is designed to prepare students for a lifelong love of learning and discovering science.

Our approach is very different from what is found elsewhere. These QED™ designed courses are:
  • lab-based, not textbook based
  • structured by concepts rather than standards
  • contextualized by history
  • designed for cognitive discovery
In this immersive environment, students find themselves excited about and interested in science. Lovers of science can experience topics more deeply than they ever could from a book. Skeptical students find that science comes alive through this uniquely designed curriculum.
Level 1 (grades 1-2)

Students explore the world around them, viewing world systems through a scientific lens, and performing experiments to understand the basic scientific concepts behind them.

Advanced Science

The Advanced Science sequences are for students who have completed all of the Level 4 courses and are looking to take their knowledge of science to the next level.

Advanced Chemistry
This yearlong course is based on California state standards and can be used to help prepare students for the AP Chemistry test and/or the SAT II Chemistry Subject Test. This sequence is appropriate for students who have completed the Physical Sciences and are in high school.

Advanced Biology
The Biology Sequence should be taken as a follow up for Advanced Chemistry. It is a yearlong course based on the California state standards and can be used to help prepare students for the AP Biology test and/or the SAT II Biology Subject Test.

Advanced Physics
This yearlong course is based on California state standards and can be used to help prepare students for the AP Physics B test and/or the SAT II Physics Subject Test. This sequence is appropriate for students who have completed the Physical Sciences and are in high school.
